Authenticity in the Midst of Cringe

Wednesday, October 23 - Community Group Questions

Ephesians 4:22-24

In reference to your former way of life, you are to rid yourselves of the old self, which is being corrupted in accordance with the lusts of deceit, and that you are to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth.

  1. What spiritual cringe have you seen that is harming the Church and its reputation?

  2. How have you failed to live authentically according to the verse? Do you struggle with putting off the old self, or do you struggle with putting on the new self?

  3. Which of the three stories do you relate with the most? Do you struggle with failure like Peter? Do you struggle with standing up against evil that seems to be overpowered? Do you struggle with following God's plan for your life like Michal?

  4. What practical steps are you taking to live with more authenticity?
