We have singles and families, young to older-ish. At Catalyst, you will experience the hope that only Jesus can give as you find a place for every member of your family.

Meet the Team

Paul has been in full time Christian ministry for over 33 years and has 10 years of professional and seminary training, finishing with a Master's Degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has served in ministry roles inside and outside the local church, from Lead Pastor to Executive Director. Paul also ministers in local and foreign mission outreaches along with speaking to businesses and churches across the nation.

Paul’s three passions are faith, family, and freeing people to be all God has called them to be. Paul is a very gifted and engaging communicator, presenting Biblical truths in a clear and concise manner that is easy to grasp yet powerful in its application. His passionate delivery and self-effacing humor make him a joy to hear.

Paul married Melanie in 1988 and they have four children and 4 bonus children(their children’s spouses), as well as 7 beautiful grandchildren. Their children are successful business and servant leaders in the church and their community.

Paul and Melanie believe the Lord has called them to plant Catalyst Community Church with a singular purpose, to fulfill the Great Commission by reaching the lost, training the saved, and sending the equipped.

Outside of his Catalyst community involvement, Jonathan finds joy and fulfillment as a devoted husband and a loving father to their two sons, Jaylen, and John Paul.

Kyle has been working in full time ministry alongside Pastor Paul for eight years. Starting off as a pastoral assistant, Kyle has transitioned to lead and serves in many roles in the church. He spent five years leading the children’s ministry, and almost three years leading the youth. As he serves as pastor for the Radical Catalyst Youth, Kyle is involved in many capacities such as tech director, and as part of the Pastoral Leadership Team.

Kyle’s passion for ministry started in 2009 when he spent a year in Youth with a Mission as an international missionary. In 2014 he married the love of his life, Deborah; and now they enjoy raising their two boys, Kash and Kade. Kyle defines his life by his love for Jesus, second by raising his family to build God’s Kingdom, and third seeing God’s Church come to maturity. In 2023, Kyle completed his bachelor’s degree in Christian Ministry Leadership as Southeastern University.

Nick has served as a loyal friend and wise counsel for many in our Catalyst community since our inception. He has 20+ years of experience in the home building and oil & gas industry as a leader, project manager, and business owner. Nick brings valuable insights to the team, including drawing on personal experience from his past church leadership roles, where he was instrumental in church land and building campaigns as well as construction.

In addition to serving on the Pastoral Leadership Team, Nick also serves as a leader in our audio/tech/worship team and is seen (or behind the scenes) on most Sundays helping with whatever is needed to make services seamless for all! Nick is often a man of few words, but has a big servant’s heart and is passionate about seeing the Kingdom expand through the local church. Nick has been married to Erika since 2002. They have two amazing children, Mason and Mallory, who faithfully serve alongside them.

I’m a Catalyst.

A “catalyst” is a substance that increases the rate of a chemical reaction without itself undergoing any permanent chemical change.

We know that Jesus came and He changed everything! He reached the lost, trained the saved and sent the equipped.

The church should duplicate Christ and be a catalyst for a world that desperately needs change. Time to ignite some change.

Reach the lost.

Train the saved.

Send the equipped.
