What We Believe

We believe

The Bible

We believe in the inspiration of the Bible, both the Old and New Testaments by the Holy Spirit as originally given; they are the final authority.

God

We believe in one God revealed in three, distinct persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, operating under the headship of the Father.

Jesus

We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God who by His incarnation and virgin birth took upon Himself the form of man and became the God-Man.  In the one person of Christ, there are two natures, human and divine, each in its completeness and integrity. They are distinguishable but indivisible, so that He is fully man and fully God. He lived a sinless life and became the only sacrifice for the sins of the world. After His death on the cross we believe the Lord Jesus Christ rose from the dead and is now seated at the right hand of the Father.

Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit to be the third person of the Godhead who is active in the world today. The Spirit indwells and seals the believer at new birth. We believe in, and encourage, the use of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. We believe in the continuing in-filling of the Holy Spirit.

Man

We believe that man in his natural state is a sinner, lost, undone, without hope and without God.

Salvation

We believe that the terms of salvation are repentance towards God for sin and a personal heart-felt faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, which results in regeneration.  Salvation is entirely by grace alone, through faith alone and in Christ alone.

Marriage

We believe that the term “marriage” has only one meaning: the uniting of one man and one woman in a single exclusive union.

Final Authority

This brief statement of faith does not exhaust our beliefs. The Bible itself, as the inspired, infallible Word of God that speaks with final authority concerning truth, morality, and the proper conduct of mankind, is the sole and final source of all that we believe.
